7/18 Weather Brief

  • Drying out today for most after soaking rains
  • Cooler temperatures, mostly low 80s

A lot of soaking rains last night, much of the immediate Philadelphia area got 1-2″. Parts of New Jersey received over 5″ of rain and remain under a flood warning from Raritan River high waters.

Currently we have some clouds overhead, but there is clearing to the south. We are expected to see a mix of sun and clouds today

Low pressure remains just to the north. This will continue to slowly move east, but not fast enough for NNJ and N.Pa, which could still see some showers and will be socked in with cloud cover

Most of the area cooled off since yesterday’s soupy hot weather, but there are a few spots that stayed warm overnight

Highs today mostly in the low 80s in the city, low to mid 70s to the north underneath low level clouds

Short range ensembles show slight risk for rain today in areas underneath low pressure, most of the area will be dry
