Past 24 Hour Rain
Spotty showers and storms yesterday and overnight dumped in a few locations through the area. Tremendous rainfall amounts in Central Delaware. Center City got hit with about a half inch of rain and some storms.
Storms Today
There is a chance for severe storms today. Once again, during the evening hours as we heat up we could get some action. Heavy rain, strong wind, and possibly some hail.
Forecast Models
NAM this morning showing batch of storms this evening. Fairly organized cluster in Southern PA and MD. Spotty storms in Central PA and points east into NJ. Big batch of strong storms in W. PA.
We will see if this one verifies. Other models not as aggressive this far east, they seem to be focused on that cluster out by Pittsburgh.
High Temps
We are climbing back into the 90s. With the humidity and dewpoints, NWS has issued a heat advisory for heat indices approaching 100 today.
