We actually have weak coastal storm develop to our south near Delmarva. This what’s causing the rain this morning.

Showers and rain moving through, they will continue to move east-northeast and dissipate through the early afternoon.

Elevated risk for flooding today in some parts of the area

Temps

Most of the area will be in the low to mid 80s today.

It will still be muggy with dewpoints in the upper 60s to low 70s. The real feel will be closer to 90 today.

Chance of storms

SPC and NWS highlight our area as a chance for severe storms this evening. Upper level low may trigger some storms but for the most part we aren’t looking at severe weather.

FV3 this afternoon with some pop-up storms but no real organized convection until you reach SE VA with better upper level support. It looks similar in other short range models
