12/16-12/17 Storm Impacts

  • Start Time: Around 3-5PM at PHL International Airport
  • Significant rush hour delays likely
  • Power outages possible, wind gusts of 30+ MPH late Wednesday into Thursday
  • City will likely see a snow -> sleet/rain -> snow scenario, ending Thursday mid-morning
  • Far NW suburbs to receive 18″+ of snow
  • Southern NJ may not see any accumulations
  • Significant coastal flooding is likely

NWS Wind Risk – Yellow is sustained 20-29 (gusts 30-45), Orange is sustained 30-39 (gusts 45-57), Red is sustained 40-49 (gusts 58-65). Red does appear to cover the shoreline from Atlantic City to Toms River.
