Currently on satellite we can see the trough has pushed south, but its a fairly deep and elongated trough. We are seeing some clouds streaming overhead from the northwest underneath the broad upper level trough.
Cold front has pushed through and our temps this morning are a bit cooler than yesterday. Feels nice out this morning
A comfortable day today, especially for the middle of July
The high pressure overhead has Philly under a nice protected bubble from the smoke that has been making making the skies hazy. Below is the HRRR smoke forecast fort this evening. Still going to be a bit hazy and cloudy up towards NEPA and NNJ.
Overall the air quality is much better today as well compared to yesterday. It might get a little bit worse through the day today in Philly as the AQI borders on light and moderate right in the city.
