8/4 Weather Brief

  • Cool today, chance of showers
  • High temperature in upper 70s
  • Might get some steadier rain for the shore

Current Surface Map

Coastal developing to our south. It will actually move up pretty close to the NJ. Most of the precip will be on the northern side of the low. Heavier rain expected for Long Island to Southern New England

Current Radar

Most of the heavy precip looks like it will stay off shore but can’t rule out a heavier band of precip making its way onshore into NJ.

Forecast

Storm will climb up the coast but won’t strengthen a whole lot during the day. WPC brings it close to the shore points.

Rainfall

Southern Delaware and Maryland could get up to 0.5″ of rain, mostly a nuisance for others. Atlantic City could get 0.25″ of rain

Wind gusts

A little breezy along the shore. Could gust up to 25-30mph. There is a rip current risk for today as well if you are down at the beach.
