7/14 Weather Brief

  • Front lifts north today
  • Heat index mid-90s

Thus morning as we head out we are still on the north side of the front. This helped keep temps down yesterday. Some fog in EPA/NJ associated with the marine layer. This front will lift north today and we will get peaks and pokes of sunshine.

NWS thinks we get to around 90 degrees today, heat index around 95

Chance of isolated storms as the front pushes north. SPC with a marginal risk for severe weather. Storms will likely be isolated in early afternoon and may form clusters in the evening

HRRR shows a little but of thunderstorm action today, but doesn’t appear to be anything significant. Slightly better chance for severe weather in Northern PA/NY.
